Current Situation

[UPDATE @ 8 a.m. 11/8/24] The fire was reported 100% contained at 25 acres.

[UPDATE @ 8:25 a.m. 11/6/24] The fire remains at 25 acres and 95% contained. Crews worked throughout the night on strengthening the perimeter. Two engines will be patrolling today for hidden hot spots with the increased local wind event.

[UPDATE @ 6:48 p.m. 11/5/24] The fire remains at 25 acres and 95% contained. Crews will continue patrolling the fire tonight for hot spots.

[UPDATE @ 7:37 a.m. 11/5/2024] The fire is 25 acres and 87% contained. Firefighters will continue working diligently throughout the day to ensure strong containment lines around the fire.

[UPDATE @ 8:05 p.m. 11/4/2024] The fire is 25 acres and 0% contained. Firefighters will remain on scene throughout the night, working to contain the fire. The next update will be tomorrow morning (11/5) after 8 A.M. unless fire conditions significantly change.

[UPDATE @ 5:11 p.m. 11/4/2024] Firefighters mapped the fire at 25 acres. Firefighters are making good progress and will remain on scene, working to contain the fire.

[UPDATE @ 4:48 p.m. 11/4/2024] The fire is currently at 40 acres, multiple air and ground resources assigned.

CAL FIRE/ Riverside County Firefighters responded to multiple reports of vegetation on fire in the area of Wolfskill Truck Trail / Old Banning Idyllwild Rd., South of Banning. Firefighters are on-scene of a 3-acre fire burning at a moderate rate of spread. Additional air and ground resources are responding. No injuries or evacuations.
